Symphony of Peace Prayers
May Peace Prevail On Earth

We're inviting you to join us for a ‘Symphony of Peace Prayers’
on Sunday 20th May 2011
at the Grovedale Community Centre, 45-47 Heyers Rd, Grovedale 3216
1.30pm – 3.30pm

This year we are asking you to bring a small bottle of water that holds your prayers for peace.
 There will also be bottles of water at the door for you to hold and imbue with your love during the ceremony if you wish (See the above water crystal holding the thoughts of love and gratitude).
Your prayer offering will be to place your water into a joint container, thus bringing together the love emanating from all hearts, to later be used to water an Olive tree, symbolising the joining of all prayers for a happy, peaceful, unified, harmonious world.
This year’s ceremony will have a similar format to 2011 but with some new, beautiful elements.

We will also be flying ‘Kites for Kindness’ as the final activity for our day.
We wish to have your prayer communities, or participation as individuals, in writing prayers for peace on a kite before ‘Symphony of Peace Prayers’.
Please contact Jenny if you'd like to be part of this. A donation of $10 is suggested for the kite kit.

For afternoon tea, as a celebration of our oneness in diversity, we would be delighted if you would bring a small plate of food to share, with the flavour of your culture.

The aim of Symphony of Peace Prayers
Symphony of Peace Prayers is a global event that aims to bring people from all walks of life and traditions, into a day of prayers for world peace and interfaith convergence. In celebration of the diversity of our cultural traditions and faiths, SOPP offers a space for the energy of love, peace and harmony, to gather in a grand Symphony of united prayers for peace and happiness of all humanity. Our prayers for peace, celebrating each nation, are a powerful invocation of light and love to the world, and are a unique part of the events. Symphony of Peace Prayers is part of the Shift to a spiritual consciousness that is building up on the planet.

We look forward to sharing your presence & participation, along with as many of your family and friends as possible for this special afternoon.

SYMPHONY of PEACE PRAYERS May 15th 2011

Symphony of Peace Prayers (SOPP)
Sunday May 15th (see previous SOPP post)
This year we are inviting and encouraging the wider community to bring their prayers for peace to this event.
 We would love you to write your special prayer for peace on beautiful paper, preferably A5 size (half A4) or smaller. 
Each individual will present their prayer in silence, placing it centrally with all others, to be later rolled together in harmony and inserted into a peace pole for later 'planting'.
In this way you will be pro-active in creating a permanent, harmonious PEACE energy, joined with all the others who share on this day both here in Geelong and worldwide.
In presenting your personal prayer, you join, in that moment, the place of love that lives within the heart of all people of peace.

Infinite bright thoughts of gratitude to all elements of nature during our most inclement weather in Australia during late 2010 and the early part of 2011.

The idea is to encourage anyone who is interested, to write a mandala, experiencing the power of sitting in a quiet space, totally immersed in giving by firstly thinking positive thoughts and then transposing them into the energy of words, designed to assist in healing our earth. How great is that!!!

As you are all aware, OUR beautiful country is being battered by natural phenomena.


I know that your prayers are 'flying to the wind' on an ongoing basis but this morning, as I watched Anna Bligh give her latest news conference, I decided to ask you all to consider WRITING A MANDALA for these events.


We know that words hold incredible power and that by writing POSITIVE words in a MANDALA, their power is poured into this 'vessel'. The completed MANDALA then continuously radiates this wonderful energy to us and nature.


Would you do this please? Consider it a gift to Australia and to all that exists. It's a tangible way in which YOU can do something powerful from where you are.

Join us in celebrating a wonderful event where representatives from various faiths
will lead participants in reciting their own prayers for peace; this simple act of religious and spiritual leaders praying the prayers of other faiths, joined in unison by all participants, sends a powerful message of tolerance and harmony.
“On this day, many people around the world connect with beautiful symphonies centered around prayers for world peace, with inter-spiritual and religious prayers, peace circles, meditations, honoring the great mother nature with dances, songs and beautiful rituals. With so many connected, this powerful ritual of prayers for peace will be surely expanding.

We will incorporate a colourful
World Peace Flag Ceremony for each world nation
to create a marvellous symphony.


Our words, thoughts and prayers carry energy
and have the power to evoke change
